The role of tumor markers in the preoperative assessment of adnexal masses in pediatric and adolescent gynecology

Study objectiveThe aim of this study is to examine the importance tumor markers in diagnosis adnexal masses pediatric and adolescent gynecology.Materials methodsRelevant studies published over last 20 years were identified by a PubMed/Medline search using different combinations following terms: “tumor markers”, “adnexal masses” “pedaitric gynecology”. Additional papers reviewing reference lists relevant publications. Particular emphasis was placed on original studies. Non-English publications excluded. A systematic approach selection not implemented. Instead, data extracted based their relevance topic.By searching literature, we found out 5 that met our criteria¹־⁵.
